I have a mixed media layout to share with you that uses pops of color and Kreaxions punches to add interest.

To add a pop of color to the grey and black tones of this layout I used my Kreaxions Circle Cutter and Butterfly Punch #604 to make butterfly medallions for the corners.

I also used Kreaxions Punch #901 with Insert A to make metallic doilies

to slip under my photo mat layers.

April Design Team Reveal - SPRINGTIME!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Just Imagine/Kreaxions Design Team April reveal!  Our theme this month is SPRING!  We know a lot of people are still getting cold weather and even some snow so we hope our projects get you in that springtime mood!

Charity created a very cute card using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter and Kreaxions Punch #917, and Kreaxions Punch #918

 

 

Colleen used Kreaxions Punch #906 and created the border under the photo and then glued 2 pieces of the scraps together to create the border at the bottom.

 

Chris used Kreaxions Punch #307 to create the doily on this adorable card

 

Joan used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter to create the birds and Kreaxions Punch #304 for her border on this fabulous card!

 

Bev used bright colors, flowers and lots of circles using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter.

 

Ange cut a 4-1/4 inch circle using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter, then cut the circle in half and punched it with Kreaxions Punch #309.  She then added gelatos and used Springtime line from Moxxie.

 

Louise thinks of Mother's Day as a Spring holiday. She also used Kreaxions Punch #309 (no insert) and lined behind the back for the lower row of flowers. The middle row flowers are from Kreaxions Punch #306 and then she used the negatives from that for the top row.

 

And finally Ginni created this springtime page using Kreaxions Punch #604 for the Butterflies, Kreaxions Punch #901 for the Butterfly Border and Kreaxions Punch #921 Flower Border and then again with Template C on the corners of the photo mat.

LUCKY Banner

Greetings Kreaxions Punchers!

Charity here with a banner that is all about flowers, butterflies, and spring time goodness.

For this banner I used a combination of Kreaxions punches for shapes, frames, and flowers.

For the L banner I used Kreaxions Punch #913
on half inch strips of patterned paper.

For the circle frame on the K banner I used the Circle Cutter for a 3 inch circle.
I used the Star Template to divide the circle evenly.
Then I attached the 8mm Inner Circle positioning parts to Punch #915, and punched on each line.
I also punched in between the lines to complete the circle frame.
For the butterflies I used bright washi tape on patterned paper and punched them with Punch #604.

For the Y banner I used Punch #916 on half inch strips of paper.

Hanging Butterfly

I wanted to do something different and had done a technique similar to this in a class MANY years ago so I thought I’d play around. I’m truly branching out of my box on this one! First I took a pre-made chipboard butterfly and painted it with Ranger paint dauber on both sides.

Then I cut out a piece of patterned paper and a piece of clear transparency to the shape of the chipboard. I covered the painted chipboard with Mod Podge and then added the patterned paper on top of that. While that dried, I took Kreaxions Punch #901 and punched it 3 times in a pattern on a piece of scrap paper. Then I used a foam dauber, the “template” created by the punching and some Azure Staz-On ink and made a pattern on the BACK side of the transparency.

I cut 3 flowers from Kreaxions Punch #603 (out of stock in the Just Imagine Store right now) and 3 stems from Kreaxions Punch #602, as well as 2 butterflies from Kreaxions Punch #604. I outlined my punched pieces with matching pens and using my Xyron X to add adhesive, I attached some to the chipboard piece and others to the transparency piece. I mixed stems under and over to give it more texture and interest. The sentiment sticker is under the transparency. Once I had them arranged where I wanted them, I used Crystal Lacquer to adhere the transparency to the chipboard. I made sure I spread out the Crystal Lacquer so that it wouldn’t show. After it dried, I cut away any excess pieces from the edges. Then I started embellishing it with Stickles, bling and sparkly brads that I cut the backs off of. I used Crystal Lacquer to attach them and to enhance some of my elements. After the top was dry, I punched holes in the top corners of the wings and added an eyelet on each side to make it prettier. Then I tied a piece of big ribbon so that it could be hung on a door handle or a wall or whatever! I did paint the back with the Ranger dauber but I chose not to decorate it. Finally, I added some Stickles around the outer edges to give it more interest and definition. Here's the final product once more...

Punched Border Tri-Fold Card

Hello!  This is Ginni and I'm SUPER excited to be returning to the Just Imagine/Kreaxions Design Team!  Today I'm sharing a tri-fold card with a punched top border. 

I created the top border by using Kreaxions Punch #901 and the doily was created by using the Kreaxions Star Template with the same punch – both with no template.  The small butterflies were created with Kreaxions Punch #604 and the sentiment base in the center was created using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter.  The large butterfly was created using my Cuttlebug and the Kreaxions Butterfly Die.  I outlined everything with a silver pen (OmniGel) and stamped and embossed the sentiments (Stampin Up Stamps, Ranger Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink).  I used the cut-away pieces from the top for my bottom borders which I outlined and doodled on to embellish them.  Paper is DCWV.

You Captured my Heart.. with lots of punching accents

 

 

 

Hi Bev here today... with an amazing mix of punching..

fabulous border, fun florals and butterflies.

Today I am starting with a page that is soft and beautiful.

To pull all the pink and beigy brown/gold out of the patterened paper I used cut files

that I then matted to put the pink and brown together... it was perfect.

 

 

In this close up I share some fun punched flowers in a cluster with dew drop accents, 

a verse with twine tied metal key,  a punched butterfly with added stickles beside the rubon sentiment 

and some of the fabulous background cut file.

 

 

These 2 close up views show case the Kreaxons punched banner above 

and below the camera with more punched clustered flowers and a fabulous punched and

matted border with doodled stitches.

Thrilling Thursday

Welcome to the Just Imagine Blog.

Today's project is a celebration of one of my recent accomplishments...my acceptance into Occupational Therapy School! If you find that scrapping about yourself is difficult try combining events with random photos.

For this project I photocopied my acceptance letter then cut and highlighted the pertenent info. I also shrunk the image and reprinted it to add to my layout as a whole. The photo of me is a recent one taken by my daughter.

For the doilie I used the Circle Cutter, Star Template, and Punch #305.

The butterflies are punched from cardstock using Punch #604.

I also made a mask using the same punch and added more butterflies with Modeling Paste.

Thrilling Thursday

Welcome back to the Just Imagine blog.
For todays project I altered a damaged photo frame. SOMEHOW it got stepped on and the glass broke. This left me with wide-open options on adding dimension!!!

Directions for the layered look in the corners:

Step 1: Cut 2 inch circles from two colors of paper. 
Step 2: Divide the back of each circle into fourths, using a pencil.
Step 3: Insert the 5cm outer circle positioning parts into Punch #914 and punch along each line.
Step 4: Trim the circles into sections to fit the corner of the frame.
Step 5: Attach the layers using dimensional adhesive.

Lisa here today to share a fun and easy card.

I used Kreaxions Punch #604 (butterfly). I cut strips of patterned papers and punched them with the punch. I adhered the strip of paper with the negative of the butterfly to my card base. BTW, this is a great way to use up those small scraps of patterned paper you have laying around. I then took 3 of the punched butterflies and added them to my sentiment block, super easy!
