Happy New Year! How in the WORLD did it get to be 2012 already??? It just reminds me how fast time flies which brought me to this layout about my daughter's 30th birthday in 2010. This picture is of her with her family and her dad who was saying “I figured it was your 30th birthday so you needed 30 candles!”
I wanted to make this layout pretty and I thought the Lotus punch (Kreaxions #602) and the Leaf punch (Kreaxions #603) would be PERFECT for this page. So I had fun. I punched the flowers, inked them, used a pop dot and a rhinestone and put them on inked Prima flowers. I outlined the punched leaf with a pen and then glued them on as a stem. The border is punched with Kreaxions #310 and Template A then I outlined the border with a pen.
Materials – Sketch – Lucy Chesna; Die Cut – My Mind’s Eye; Papers – Bo Bunny; Ric Rack – Wright’s; Flowers – Prima; Number Stickers – Cloud 9 Designs; Letter Stickers – Stanislaus Designs; Ink – Colorbox; Rhinestones – Recollections; Punches – Kreaxions #603 Lotus (Flower), #602 (Leaf) and #310 with Template A for border; Pen - Sharpie
It looks much fancier and more complicated than it was. And I love that about the Kreaxions punches! Something simple becomes so much more with just a little bit of punched elements! So I hope you'll try adding some pizzaz with your punches too!
love the way you layered the flower punches on top of the flowers! Great layout!

Ginni this is so beautiful .. soft and elegant and the pop of colour through the punched borders is also soft and a pretty touch.
