The Window and the Border

I love pulling out my Kreaxions supplies.  Here I used the wonderful circle cutter and a 4-in-1 punch.

The Kreaxions circle cutter makes cutting out a window the easiest task ever! I love how easy it is to use and how great it works for something like this.

And do you see that adorable little border at the top edge of my card just peeking out? I used the #907 4-in-1 punch for my little border.

Creating Punched Circles

Hello!  This is Ginni and I would just like to thank everyone for your kind comments on my blog for the blog hop this weekend!  What a GREAT blog hop that was!!!  :)  Today I'm going to feature punched circles. This is a picture of my Mom in 1946 when she was about 17 or 18 with a young man she almost married.  Then she met my Dad and that was the end of that relationship!  When I saw this picture years ago all I could think about was how different things would have been for everyone!  It’s amazing how one decision can make such a difference in so many lives! Anyway, I wanted to keep the nostalgic/heritage feel of this page but the elements in this Fancy Pants' Wave Searcher Line (my June DT kit from My Scraps & More) were way too modern.  So I had to create something that would work.

Materials – All Papers, All Chipboard – Fancy Pants’ Wave Searcher; Stamps, Letter Stamps – CTMH; Inks – Stampin Up, CTMH; Punches – Kreaxions #311 with Template A, Kreaxions #909; Twine – Unknown; Stickles – Ranger; Bling – Queen & Company; Pen – Sharpie

Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #310 reminds me of waves and Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #909 Polar Sun looks like the sun so they were the perfect choices!  I cut a 10" circle and a 9" circle with my Kreaxions Circle Cutter.  Then I used the Kreaxions Stencils on the reverse side of the paper to draw guide lines for punching.  And using the Kreaxions Punchmate made it easy to punch through the papers!  (I LOVE that tool!)  Here's a close up of the circles

Then I used Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #310 for my bottom borders to resemble waves. Here's a close-up of the bottom borders...

I added a little bit of red Stickles to the punched areas to make them pop a bit more.  Then I stamped the yellow at the top, the “sun” and the shells and hearts at the bottom to finish off the page. 

The result is a page that I absolutely LOVE!  So I hope that the next time you need something for your page that isn't provided with your kit that you'll pull out your Kreaxions punches and circle cutter and make your own punched circles!  The possibilities are endless!  Happy Punching!

 

Happy Mother's Day Dressform

Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone!  And Happy National Scrapbooking Day!  Hope you all get to spend the entire day crafting!

Today I've got a Mother's Day card for you that I made with Punch #304.  I cut the circles with my awesome Kreaxtions Circle Cutter and then punched them using the Stencils for Circle Punching.  They make it super-easy to punch a doiily with your 4-in-1 punches, I just love how quick it is.

I love how the skirt on the dressform turned out.  All I did was punch a couple borders with Punch #304 and then scored them every quarter inch and layered them together.  I'm definitely gonna do this with some of my other punches to create dfferent looks.

Precious Angel Card

Its time again to post over here at the blog and I have a fun tutorial for you to create a baby carriage to put on a layout, card or on altered piece like a banner. I used it for my sister-in-law who had my niece in March.

In my project the tools I used are Kreaxions Circle Cutter, Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch - 904 Circle (with template A) and Kreaxions Star Stencil Octagon.

Here is my card:

Supplies

1- 4 inch circle

2- 1 inch circles

2- 1/2 inch circles

Strip of Pattern Paper

Star Stencil Template

Punch 904 using Template A

Adhesive

Buttons or Brads

 

Step One:Take your large circle and use the hole in the center as your mark to make marks t remove a section of the circle shown here (sorry for the blurry photos)

Step Two:Grab your star stencil and punch 904 using template A. Start on one of the tips and punch all around. There will be scraps around it so just trim them off.

Step Three:Adhere glue to the circle shown here and then add the doily on top. Bring it over till some of it is on the circle and the rest hanging. Trim the excess off to gret ruffles on the carriage.

Step Four:Take your small circles and glue them together then add buttons on top of it. Then add them to the carriage to create wheels on it.

Step Five:Take the strip of paper trim the top a bit to create a handle for the carriage and adhere it to the back. You are done to add the piece to your project.

I love how it turned out and I will making another one for my brother and his wife when my nephew is due in June.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday

Circles.. yes circles.. we use them so often and with the

Kreaxions Circle Cutter it is so much easier. 

We are going to make a card today inspired

 by my friend Sandy at Cookin Up Creations. 

She challenges us to make this card using so many circles
 using this technique that I had to share

 and multitask my post at Just Imagine Crafts.

Here is the full card with the amazing use of circles.

The full circles I inked to help pop them. I matted it for depth

and colour and added a few accents.

This card is perfect for so many occasions and you can add a sentiment

or leave as is and add proper text inside the card.

I use these items almost daily in one way or another.

This great page was inspired by a few things. Memorable Seasons Challenge with Sally is

to use 3 punches, 3 layers and 3 colours. So I used Kreaxions Punches #904, #913, #917.

And I had fun doing the double coloured circle using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter.

The outer ring in a 2nd colour pops perfectly.

The fun sketch used is from My Scraps and More dated April 20th.

All put together it is perfect .. my colours are red, blue and yellow with lots of layers.

Here is the up close view of the 3 punched areas on page. Lately I love

matting them for pop and I also outlined some

of the punches with black Staedtler pen to accent them even more.

You are the Icing on my Cupcake

I would definitely say the Kreaxions Circle Cutter is the icing on MY cupcake...I am LOVING this gadget!  I have learned to cut, not only circles, but Scalloped Borders with my cutter - which means I can stop looking for a LARGE Scalloped die!

Baby **Kreaxions Punch #305/ 10" CIRLCE CUTTER**

Hi there, Jenifer here today posting for Just Imagine Kreaxions. I hope nice weather has found you all, and you are enjoying the beautiful sounds of chirping birds and the fragrant smells of all the yummy flowers in bloom! I definately am I love this time of year and find it easy to draw inspiration from my surroundings for my paper crafting projects. Today I wanna share with you one of those projects I created with this beautiful season as inspiration as well as the help of

 Kreaxions Punch #305

Kreaxions 10" Circle Cutter

 

This is a layout of my youngesT daughter a few years back!! WOW WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!?!  Like I said above my inspiration for color and design was from all this beautiful weather we've been experiencing! And Kreaxions tools, helped me make it beautiful!!!

I used the 10" Circle Cutter to cut patterned paper to layer over my doilie's, but before I adhered it I scissor distressed them and created a delicate border around the egde to help it stand out more. I created this border by using the negative punched pieces meant for the trash from Kreaxions Punch #305, I just gently adhered the edges to the backside of the circle, leaving the circular part exposed. This punch has quickly become one of my favorites as it's so versatile in it's use, and I highly recomend it for all your paper crafting needs!

Time Flies By

I can't believe my kids are 14 and 11 years old. My son will be heading to highschool and my daughter will be off to middle school. I am proud of them and nervous at the same time. I hope the best for them both.

A White doily is so Lady-Like

Talk about a feminine look...

I wanted to build my card around this new stamp set by Paper Smooches.  It is a great look for Mom or Grandma and any other reason you need a card for a lady.  The papers are by Bella Blvd.

I used Kreaxions #311 4-in-1 punch.  First of all I cut a circle with my circle cutter.  I turned the circle over and drew 4 lines for my 8 punch points.  Now all it took was punching at those points around my circle.  I love how Lady-Like my doily turned out and it was so fast and simple.  Plus, the turquoise circle behind the doily was cut with the circle cutter.
